A beautiful and remarkable view over the Vienne River is enjoyed from the terrace as well as from most of the windows of this notable’s house built at the end of the 18th century, tucked behind the apse of the village’s Romanesque church at the end of a cul-de-sac terminating in a small boat slipway. Behind sober stone pillars framing an elegant early 19th-century wrought-iron gate, the house rises above a terrace supported by handsome battered stone retaining walls, lending the property a remarkable presence overlooking the Vienne River below. The south-facing façade, shaded by an old pollarded lime tree, is composed of three bays of small-paned windows arranged around a beautiful double entrance door crowned with a finely glazed fanlight.
