The principal façade, constructed in finely cut granite ashlar, is arranged symmetrically and presents a richly ornamented Renaissance design embellished with dormer windows crowned by pediments and flame finials. At the centre rises a square staircase pavilion in loggia form displaying sumptuous Renaissance ornament inspired by Antiquity: free-standing columns in the round, cornices, consoles, Ionic capitals, a decorated dormer, and a domed roof topped with a lantern.
